Day 2 of the IAPA Programme in Dublin saw delegates take to the conference room. The opening session focused specifically on Ireland and the value of investing in Ireland and working with Irish entrepreneurs. We were honoured that Enterprise Ireland CEO Frank Ryan addressed our delegates. This was his last official engagement as CEO before he retired and he was engaging and inspiring as ever. He was followed by IDA CEO Barry O’Leary who talked with passion about the Irish companies choosing to set up in Ireland and the supports available to them. Delegates were struck by the levels of innovation and support in the Irish market and it definitely provided real food for thought.
The conference continued with the Paralympic Gold Medal winner Mark Rohan talking about the importance of resilience in business while coaching specialist Liam Moggan invigorated delegates with talk about team building and how the values of coaching can be applied in the world of coaching.
The afternoon session continued with expert practise management talks by McInerney Saunders Partners Donagh Waters and Neal Morrison. They talked about enhanced systems and technology can radically enhance Accountancy and other professional services firms. Robert McKernan concluded the conference session today with a superb talk on sales strategies in the professional services sector.
Accompanying persons enjoyed a glorious tour of Malahide Castle, lunch and shopping at Avoca before visiting Howth Head for the spectacular views.
Everyone enjoyed dinner in Fire at The Mansion House that night … some adjourned for an early night whilst others danced into the wee small hours in some of Dublin’s finest late night venues. Day 2 … looking forward to our adventure day in Dublin tomorrow!
