It’s been another extraordinary Fingal Enterprise Week. Whilst we are always delighted to design, plan and manage the programme on behalf of the Local Enterprise Office at Fingal County Council, getting out there and meeting so many entrepreneurs is always the true joy of Enterprise Week.
There was lots of change this year. Fingal County Enterprise Board had become the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Fingal. The LEO team had moved into the Fingal County Council offices here the new Chief Executive Paul Reid has devoted much of his time and energy to the LEO.
16 events throughout the week aimed to offer something to all of the entrepreneurs out there. From an incredibly energetic Start-up Day to an intensive Ethnic Enterprise session with Sarah Maguire, from Digital Marketing and Social Media sessions to Accessing Finance and from the latest Tech Developments for SMEs to the trends in consumer behaviour on the move with the Dublin Food Chain. The week was jam packed with ideas, innovation, education and networking.
The highpoint of the week had to be the presentation of the Fingal Enterprise Award and the announcement of the Fingal winners of the Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur competition. Hosted by Newstalk’s Business editor Ian Guider with a keynote address by Sean Gallagher the event was just electric.
Events like Fingal Enterprise Week would not be possible without the hard work, innovation and determination of the team at the Local Enterprise Office Fingal and amazing sponsors who are fulsome in their support of entrepreneurs. And so another year draws to a close … but we know that entrepreneurship is in the air and we wish all those that we met last week immense success in their enterprises!
