Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mary Mitchell O’Connor today hosted a visit by the IBYE finalists to meet
An Taoiseach Enda Kenny. The event was co-hosted by Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices across the country.
It was the first time that the 24 finalists in the Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur competition had all met each other. The room buzzed as they got to know each other and it was easy to see bonds and friendships being forged.
Minister Mitchell O’Connor took them to the Department of An Taoiseach to meet Enda Kenny. Despite his incredibly busy schedule, An Taoiseach spent over an hour meeting the finalists, talking about their business and the challenges and opportunities ahead of them. And there was time for photos too!
Their busy day continued with a trip to Google for Pitching Masterclass with Rob Marr of Catalyst Consult. He put them through their paces to ensure that all our finalists are ready to meet the judges on Thursday 2nd March and for the National Final in Google on Sunday 5th March. Time is marching on … who will be named Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur 2016?
