Wow! What a year it’s been for the 37 National Lottery Good Causes Awards finalists. As Project Managers for this campaign and event, we were yet again reminded of the amazing work of many organisations do across the country. The Good Causes Awards celebrate organisations, community groups and clubs who selflessly support their local community and those who need it most.
Our finalists dazzled us and, albeit virtually, this year’s National Lottery Good Causes showcased that not all heroes wear capes. In a year where local community was more important than ever, finalists shone brightly. We are in no doubt that Ireland has superheroes in every town and village across the country.
From application and judging right through to the final, finalists brought smiles and great joy to everyone involved.
The Round Room of the Mansion House in Dublin provided the perfect backdrop for an amazing final event, laced with emotion. Host Grainne Seoige brought professionalism, humour and sincerity, truly making finalists the stars of the event. The event also featured Chair of the Judges Nuala Carey and guest presenters Fergus Finlay, Blathnaid Tracey, Prof. Luke O’Neill, Conor Murray, Tolu Makay, Sonya Lennon and Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu. Thank you to The National Lottery for, once again, entrusting the Good Causes Awards project to Whitelight Events. It truly is one of the most joyful projects that we manage and events that we produce.
